Lake Seewaldsee, Fontanella
Refreshing lake Seewaldsee in Fontanella is one of the region's favorite outing destinations in summer. You reach the lovely swimming lake in picture-book surroundings within a leisurely 35-minute walk. Great water fun for young and old!
A nice walk along the shores of Lake Seewaldsee in Fontanella promises wonderful nature exploration in summer and winter alike. From the bus stop Fontanella/Säge the lake is easily accessible within a 35-minute walk. The trail climbs and descends gently, leading along a quiet asphalt road (only residents are allowed to drive on this road) past the hamlet of Garlitt and further on towards the Seewaldseetobel ravine. The entire region is a real paradise for young walkers and nature fans. After crossing the ravine, you reach the farmhouses of Seewald - the small Alpine lake nestles amid lush green meadows.
Due to the low water level the lake's temperature is quite pleasant although its high altitude at 1200 m above sea level. On nice summer days or even in rainy weather it makes a splendid place to take a swim. The surroundings offer two traditional inns by the lake, where recreation is guaranteed.
