Obergrechter Isamaennli 2018
At this year's Obergrechter Isamaennli, it was again ideal weather conditions for all athletes and organizers. This year 147 participants took part in the triathlon, they gave their best and in the team competition we were able to celebrate new record times.
Punctually at 02.00 p.m. the starting shot fell for all teams and 30 minutes later for all individual participants. Pleasant 22 ° C water temperature and 400 m swimming course waited for all swimmers in the Seewaldsee to walk immediately afterwards the demanding 3.5 km to the village centre to Fontanella. Necessary, the last power reserves were to mobilize and to tackle the very selective bike course to Faschina (4 km and 350 Hm). In front of great scenery and many spectators the participants were allowed to enjoy the finish in Faschina.
This year's Isamaennli, Andreas Fuß of the Tri Team Lustenau with a total time of 38:04,7 min. (Swimming 7:22.9; Running 14:00,8; Cycling 16:41,0). As the best lady and thus Obergrechter Isawiebli, Sabine Buxhofer drove to the finish line after 41:36.5 min. (Swimming 6:45.0; Running 14:54,6; Cycling 19:54,6). The team WSG Liebherr Nenzing won the competition with a new best time! Matthias Eder (Swimming 5:15.8 min.), Wolfgang Pfister (Running 11:59,4 min.) and Daniel Ganahl (Cycling 13:48,8 min.) arrived after a total time of 31:04,0 min in Faschina. Now they hold the new team record at Obergrechter Isamaennli.
The Damuelser Snow Queen Sabrina Beck was also at the start and secured with a fantastic time of 46:57 min. The fifth overall rank of the ladies in the individual standings.
The last was Robert Elwes with a tricycleand, he rejoiced very much the great cheering in Faschina. The focus here was not on time, but on advertising a great charity project in the region.
During the children's run, many children were on the start again this year. They were rewarded with a medal and a gift.
The entire organisational team would like to thank all volunteers and look forward to a new Obergrechter Isamaennli in the coming year, which will take place on 13 July, 2019.
