Priory, St. Gerold
The Priory of St. Gerold, located in the village of the same name, has belonged to the Swiss Benedictine Abbey of Einsiedeln since the 13th century. Legend has it that the monastery was founded already in the 11th century. Today it is a highly renowned place of spirituality and venue of cultural events due to its peaceful and secluded location at the heart of the unspoilt Grosses Walsertal.
