Museum of Grosses Walsertal , Sonntag
Learn more about everyday life and work of our ancestors. The museum in Sonntag, at the heart of the Grosses Walsertal Biosphere Park, can be found next to the parish church of Sonntag. A deeply rooted "Walserhaus" building hosts the museum, which gives an insight into many interesting details of long past times!
During the summer months, there is also a special exhibition on different topics.
After a devastating fire in 1986, the unoccupied building was reconstructed and enlarged. Today, the central part of the triple house ranks among the oldest buildings in the village and within the entire valley. A truly unique part of history! Already in 1988 the new Museum was reopened.
